Chris Brown of BuffaloBills.com discusses with Buddy Nix and some members of the Bills scouting department why there is such a better showing of small schools at the combine this year. The number of small school prospects has reached a new high of 11% this year.
It's no secret every team is always looking for that diamond in the rough. Some teams are well documented for taking guys that go un-drafted, and making them big impact guys. The Patriots are a team that most would think of in this department with there 18 un-drafted guys on there roster this year.
The Bills however have found some quality talent of there own. Fred Jackson most notably, but others like Terrance Mcgee and Demetrius Bell are also small school prospects that have preformed well for the Bills.
I would look for another small school prospect to stick on the Bills roster again this year.
