The Bills have been very busy this week signing pending free agents. As free agency draws closer names are starting to emerge as possible targets for the Bills. Even though the Bills extended Stevie Johnson; the top free agent wide-outs are being connected to the Bills. Recently it was Vincent Jackson who has connections to Buddy Nix.
Now it is another big time wide receiver Marques Colston. The Saints don't appear to be in any shape to retain Colston next year. Nix has said all along that they want that, Calvin Johnson type receiver. Colston is no "Megatron", but he does possess the size that Nix is talking about.
Colston would be a great addition to the roster, but he does have injury concerns, and is not your typical number "1" or even number "2" wide receiver. Colston operates mostly out of the slot in the Saints offense. This is a negative for some teams, but it may make him a perfect fit for the Bills. The spread offense would give Colston room to move around.
I think this is a bit of a reach, and would almost rather have the Saints other free agent Robert Meachem. He is not as big as Colston, but needs opportunity's to show that he is as good as Colston. He would also command allot less money than Colston.
